Stormy Months, Soft Recoveries, and Finding My Way Back to You

Hello lovelies,

It’s been a little while, hasn’t it?

I think I may have accidentally jinxed myself with that ill-fated Lady Luck diary entry back in February… because from mid-March through all of April and much of May, I seemed to be repeatedly tapped by the bad-luck stick.

Many of you already know a little about the personal challenges I faced over those months (I won’t go into them here), but I do want to say thank you... truly... for your patience, understanding, and kindness throughout that time. Although I was largely silent and very unplugged from my work phone, I was so touched by the little streaks of light that kept breaking through the darkness just when I needed them most. Your compassion made an incredibly difficult season just a little softer, and I will carry that gratitude with me for a long time.

Now… I don’t want to speak too soon (lest Lady Luck decides to make a fool of me once again), but I do think we may have finally made it through to the other side of the storm.

It hasn’t escaped me that, in that February post, I boldly declared I would be releasing a new diary entry every second Wednesday. How adorably naive of me to tempt fate like that.

Still, here I am again, hopefully beginning a steadier, more consistent chapter this time around.

I’ve been slowly gathering little ideas and inspirations while life was unfolding in the background, and I’m excited to start sharing them with you all again. So if you’ve subscribed to my mailing list, do keep an eye on your inbox over the coming weeks.

As you can probably imagine, returning to my messages and emails after such a long time away has been a mammoth task. At first, it felt incredibly overwhelming, so the only thing I could really do was tackle a small portion of enquiries each day over a couple of weeks. I think I’m finally up to date now, though I sincerely apologise to anyone who may have slipped through the cracks along the way.

During that catch-up period, I had to limit myself to responding only to enquiries containing booking information, so I’m very sorry if I wasn’t able to reply to more general between-booking chats and check-ins. If I happened to miss your correspondence, please don’t hesitate to reach out again, especially if you were hoping to arrange a future booking together. I would love to hear from you.

And finally… I hope wherever this post finds you, life is treating you kindly. There’s a quote I’ve always loved...

“The darker the night, the brighter the stars.”

I truly believe the light always finds its way back eventually. And the darker seasons can make moments of warmth, friendship, and light feel even more precious.
